It didn’t take all that long to adjust, now did it. I’m sitting in the living room of the rental home, cooled by the ceiling fans and listening to the gurgle of the center courtyard fountain. It helps tremendously that the temperatures are only in the high 70s, which is unusually agreeable for July in Mérida.
The rooster and the train behind us don’t seem as loud. We slept really well the last two nights. We love the house, which we learned was built by a woman from Long Island. It’s a one-bedroom, smartly decorated and laid out. I’m not happy that there is no coffee maker. It broke, we were told. Why wasn’t it replaced? Who knows. The ceiling fans [Read more…]
