I’m learning how to say “brown tie” and “pink belt.” “The tall woman is wearing the gray suit.” Uh, “La mujer alta something, something, traje gris.”
And then, we come across some particularly relevant phrases. “I’m sick,” “I’m tired,” “I’m cold,” and especially, “I’m hungry!”
Although this time of year, “tengo calor” is a more likely whine.
I’ve avoided any gastronomic distress so far, so hopefully I can still avoid the first phrase. I’ve taken few chances with the water. I even brush my teeth with bottled water. Am I going too far?
Travel is tiring, and adjusting from early bird to night owl will be challenging. Early risers don’t have a Starbucks to run to. I have to learn to sleep in.
And I really doubt I’ll be hungry, surrounded by cuisine that I love, at affordable prices.
