This happens when you start a blog about something you’re just starting to learn about. Did I say yesterday that there were no casinos in the Centro? Today’s news proves me wrong. But the police keep shutting them down.
Federal police yesterday seized a 100 slot machines known as “minicasinos” in a sting at San Benito markets and Lucas de Galvez, behind a pawn shop. Three thousand bootleg discs were also confiscated, Diario de Yucatán reports. Two men and one woman were arrested.
Slot machines are legal and regulated in shopping malls and standalone entertainment centers. Not just anybody can get in on the action, apparently.
