We haven’t even closed on the house yet and we’re trying to win over the neighbors. We really have to, or we won’t make it. It’s like having to schmooze the co-op board of a big apartment building. But possibly harder.
Tonight we finally got around to watching “Mexico: The Royal Tour,” a bit of fantasy — when the very real email from my real estate agent came over. Neighbors are reluctant to sign off on a document that redefines the property lines. There was an inconsistency in the documents, and new measurements had to be taken to reconcile the paperwork.
Now the lawyer will be coming by to reassure them. I just don’t know what’s next.
